Meet the Pasadena Team Behind Fielding ADU Pasadena
We’re a local crew, not a rotating cast. Every person who shows up at your Pasadena property is background-checked, uniformed, and paid as a Fielding employee, not a day laborer picked up that morning. Reed Calloway runs the shop, and he hires slowly on purpose. The crew has been building ADUs, garage conversions, and room additions across Pasadena, Altadena, South Pasadena, and the San Gabriel foothills long enough to know which city inspectors ask for what. That familiarity saves you time when the permit review stalls.
Our People

Reed Calloway, Owner
Reed has run Fielding ADU Pasadena since the doors opened, and he’s been building to the Garrison Standard since 2006. He’s the one who walks every site before the written price goes out, because he doesn’t believe in pricing a job from a satellite photo. Reed knows Pasadena’s ADU rules cold: the state’s 800-square-foot allowance, the city’s setback requirements, the difference between a junior ADU and a detached unit under the new code. If there’s a variance request needed, he’s the one on the phone with the planner, translating Building Code into plain English. When he’s not on a site, he’s usually under a truck or arguing with a parts supplier about lead times. He answers his own phone.
Miguel R., Lead Technician
Miguel has been framing and finishing residential projects in Southern California for over 15 years. Before Fielding, he ran additions on hillside lots in Echo Park and Highland Park, which means he’s seen every foundation quirk Pasadena’s older homes can throw at a crew. He’s our go-to on garage conversions, especially the ones where the slab has settled and the existing roofline doesn’t want to cooperate. Miguel is a certified forklift operator and has his OSHA 10 card, but more usefully, he can read a set of plans and spot a conflict before it becomes a change order. He keeps a photo album on his phone of every beam he’s ever posted, and he will absolutely show it to you if you ask how something gets built.
Dana W., Senior Installer
Dana handles the finish side: doors, windows, trim, siding, and the long list of details that separate a clean build from one that looks like a rushed flip. She’s fluent with James Hardie siding installation and has worked on several prefab and modular ADU projects, including Abodu and Boxabl units, where the timeline is faster but the tolerances are tighter. Dana grew up in Monrovia and still gets annoyed when people call it “the 210 corridor.” She’s the one who labels every stud bay before the drywall goes up and photographs the rough-in before it gets covered, so you know exactly what’s behind your walls. When the one-year Garrison Standard check-in happens, Dana’s usually the person who shows up to look everything over.
Sam T., Service Coordinator
Sam is the first voice you hear when you call (626) 657-5541 at noon or midnight. He keeps the schedule straight, tracks permit statuses with the Pasadena building department, and makes sure the right materials land on the right site on the right day. Sam has a background in commercial construction logistics, which is a polite way of saying he can re-route a lumber delivery around a Rose Parade street closure without breaking a sweat. He’s also the one who sends you the written price before any work starts, and he’ll walk you through every line item on the phone until it makes sense. Sam collects vintage radios, and there’s usually one playing a Dodgers game quietly in the background of the office.
One Standard, Every Job
The Garrison Code is not a poster on a wall. It’s the operating rhythm we run on: show up in the window, price in writing, build by the book, leave it clean, stand behind it for a year. Every team member, from Reed’s first site walk to Sam’s final scheduling call, follows the same sequence on every Pasadena job. The written price appears before a single nail is driven. The one-year 365-Day Done Right Promise is spelled out on paper with what it covers and how we make it right if something fails. We don’t treat that as a legal formality. Miguel checks his work against it. Dana re-tapes anything she wouldn’t stand behind. And if something does fail inside that year, Reed is the first one back on the property at no charge. That’s the Garrison Standard, and it travels with us from a detached ADU in Bungalow Heaven to a garage conversion in Madison Heights to a hillside addition off Linda Vista.
Want to meet the crew in person? Call (626) 657-5541 and schedule a free site visit. Sam will set it up, and Reed will walk your property himself.
